What we like about the dōTERRA Petal Diffuser 2.0 are its simplicity and portability. We also like the way this looks because it’s minimalistic!
It is made out of moulded plastic, but it doesn’t feel cheap at all. We like that it’s also lightweight and easy to carry around, convenient when moving to a different room.
The assembly of this air diffuser is pretty straightforward. Filling it with water is also easy because the red dot shows the limit.
Moreover, this new dōTERRA Petal Diffuser won’t spill easily in case of accidents, unlike the previous model. Well, this is an upgraded version, after all.
We found that this new version comes with a locking mechanism. The previous one doesn’t lock, so we love this new feature.
Now, when turning this on, you need to press the mist button once for a 2-hour run time, twice for 6 hours, and thrice for 12 hours. That sounds simple enough, doesn’t it?
In addition, there are three green lights above the buttons to see which run time it’s currently on – that’s super convenient in our books!
Now, we think this can act as an aromatherapy-slash-nightlight for a kid’s room. It has a soft ambient light, perfect for sleeping.
However, you cannot change the light colours. It’s a minor downside for me because you can’t change it to match the ambience of the room (or your mood).

One of the best aroma diffusers in Malaysia on our list is the Muji Large Aroma Diffuser. True to the brand, it has a minimalist aesthetic, which we like (not gonna lie!).
For us, the best aspect of this diffuser is the large water capacity. You can put up to 350 ml of water here, which is a lot compared to other diffusers on the market.
However, we noticed that the Muji Large Aroma Diffuser doesn’t last as long as we expected. Plus, we ended up using more drops of essential oils than we wanted because the scent intensity didn’t last as long as the highest run time.
Additionally, the coverage capacity of this is smaller than we thought. You can use this for a room that’s 200 sq ft, which we think is small for the size and water capacity of this diffuser.
This Muji air diffuser also doesn’t have a locking mechanism, which can spill in case you accidentally hit it. Although, we don’t think this will be a problem because it’s not easy to knock over due to its large size.
On a good note, you can turn the outer cover 360 degrees. That gives you freedom with the mist’s direction.
Now, we really like Muji’s simplistic design. But we’re nitpicking this diffuser’s plastic material because it makes the interior noticeable when the light is on, and some of us think it feels cheap (minus points for aesthetics).
On the upside, we like the ambient lighting with two intensity settings. It’s good as a nightlight for sleeping because it’s not too bright.
But make sure you fall asleep fast if you want to use this at night. This Muji Aroma Diffuser has four timer settings but only lasts up to three hours of aromatherapy.

Going back to portability, this only weighs 150 g. You can bring this with you in your car and have a relaxing and fragrant drive.
Plus, it fits in cup holders, too. We found the light options are pretty nice for night drives because they’re not too bright.
Additionally, this car diffuser comes with a USB connection. You can plug this into your laptop as well and make your work area more relaxing, or bring it to your vacation.
As for the scent, the intensity is pretty good for a small diffuser! But once the water reached a low level, I noticed that the scent faded fast.

As a diffuser that is made for kids, this one comes with 10 LED light options, making it a great nightlight. The ambient lighting is not too bright for a kid’s room, just enough so they won’t get scared.
Additionally, all the talon buttons are touch-sensitive, including the high and low output modes and intermittent mode. Kids can also use it without difficulty.
Honestly, we think this is one of the best aroma diffusers for kids in Malaysia because everything is custom-designed for their safety. Feather the Owl also works well in any kid’s bedroom because of the design.
It also works on 323 sq ft room sizes, even with 165 ml of water. That’s a bigger capacity than other diffusers, and we like that you can smell the essential oil even after a few hours.
On top of that, we like that there are 5 white noise sounds to help the kids fall asleep. You can choose the sounds of rain, birds, ocean waves, fan, and lullabies.

We like that you can use this to play your favourite music while relaxing. The built-in speakers certainly help with a perfect aromatherapy experience!
In addition, we like that this comes with a remote control because of the convenience. With that, you can lie down anywhere and turn on your aroma diffuser for an at-home spa experience.
Furthermore, you can adjust the timer setting using the remote. Also, you can change the mist spray intensity and use the intermittent mode which runs at 10-second intervals.
Another positive is this diffuser has 8 colours to choose from. Plus, we appreciate the added feature of changing the light intensity from bright to dim, allowing you to relax more.
A minor gripe we have is the light doesn’t distribute evenly. It mostly stays on the bottom part of the oil diffuser, which doesn’t look as nice with dimmed room lights.
It’s worth noting that you can fill this up with up to 300 ml of water. Not many diffusers in Malaysia have large water tanks, so we were surprised.
Plus, you can opt for continuous mist sprays for up to approximately 13 hours. But you can opt for 2 or 4 hours continuously until you fall asleep.
Something we noticed is the mist spray is kind of all over the place. But that’s not a bad thing because this can act as an atomizer or humidifier due to the strong mist spray.
We like that this has an automatic shutoff system once the water tank is empty. That’s a safety feature we appreciate.
A nitpick we have about this is that it’s not as aesthetically pleasing as other Plant Origins aromatherapy diffusers. That may not be a big issue for some, but in my personal opinion, this doesn’t look as premium as the others from the brand.
